Gabigol will not leave Benfica
Reports are now circulating that Gabriel Barbosa will not leave Benfica earlier, where there is news earlier that the player will return to Inter.
But his entourage insists that the 21-year-old will not stay away from Benfica, despite playing 26 minutes so far.
The striker joined the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2016 at a cost of around Euro 30 million, but he failed to make a single start and scored only one goal.
After failing to impress new coach Luciano Spalletti in pre-season, the Brazilian joined Benfica on long-term loan.
However, he has only made two substitute appearances since making a move at Benfica and Gabigol is reportedly able to return to his former club, Santos.
“There is no sign of him not being content to play here,” a player who did not want to be mentioned in an interview with local media.
“There’s nothing to say, he’s working hard every day to win a place at the club, and he knows he should get the chance.”
